Jay Nugent | Senior Vice President

Jay is a member of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners’ Suburban leasing group, where he specializes in tenant and landlord advisory work.  Prior to joining RBJ, Jay was an Assistant Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle.  He has also worked at the Grubb & Ellis Company.

Jay counsels landlords and tenants in the Greater Boston suburban area. In the last eight years he has been involved in negotiating the lease and sale of over four and a half million square feet of space for his clients.   He has also been recognized  as one of Costar’s “Top Power Brokers” in Boston He has represented tenant organizations such as Citizens Bank, DB Schenker, Comcast Corporation, Prudential, Repligen and Flir Systems.   He has also represented many of the area’s most prominent landlords such as ING Clarion, Normandy RE Partners, UBS, Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Cabot Cabot and Forbes.

Jay graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Pre-Law.  He is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Commercial Brokers Association.  He also volunteers his time with Big Brothers of Massachusetts, which is a non-profit organization that provides nurturing and direction to young children in need of role models.
